Super-B Creates a Player-Driven Economy with Genuine Ownership

Gaming platform Super-B uses Walrus to turn players’ in-game creations into verifiable, ownable digital assets, empowering a new era of creativity and community.

Super-B is a user-centric social gaming platform designed to empower creativity and community, built by South Korean digital game developer Nimblebites. The platform allows players to design personal spaces in MyHome, collaborate on builds in Brickland, and express themselves through social customization.

At its core, Super-B revolves around user-generated content (UGC), allowing players to shape their experiences and the world around them. Super-B’s commitment to true digital ownership is what sets it apart; in-game creations will be onchain digital assets, giving users genuine ownership and control over their creative work. Selected assets from MyHome and Brickland are also tradable between users, enabling a player-driven economy.

By building on Walrus, Super-B is able to transition these in-game creations from platform-bound features into truly ownable assets, laying the foundation for a vibrant, player-driven economy, where creativity and active participation can translate into tangible value for Super-B’s community.

Challenge

In its early stages, Super-B used centralized cloud storage like AWS S3. While suitable for rapid initial development, using a centralized storage solution created a fundamental conflict with the platform’s core mission.

Traditional centralized storage solutions can’t fundamentally prove ownership or transform user-generated content into true digital assets. As a result, content built on centralized storage remains tied to the platform’s infrastructure, preventing users from genuinely owning what they create. This meant that while building on AWS S3, there was no guarantee of data persistence or portability for Super-B’s users, preventing them from retaining or transferring their assets independently and clashing with the Web3 values of decentralization and user sovereignty.

Solution

Walrus addresses the shortcomings of traditional storage with a Web3-native architecture designed for verifiable ownership and data integrity. Walrus’ novel Red Stuff distributed encoding shards data across multiple nodes, eliminating single points of failure and ensuring high durability, while providing the same performance and efficiency offered by centralized solutions. By generating onchain verifiable content hashes, Walrus makes data tamper-proof and provides strong guarantees of authenticity. This technical foundation allows Super-B to build a content economy that’s persistent, verifiable, and highly scalable.

Building on Walrus not only solves the challenges of centralized storage but also unlocks advanced functionalities. By linking stored content directly to Move-based smart contracts on Sui, Super-B can now enable seamless tokenization, automated rewards, and transparent ownership transfers, creating a trustless environment that supports Super-B’s long-term vision for a user-driven digital asset ecosystem.

“At Super-B, our vision is to empower users by transforming their creations into true digital assets, not just in-game features. Walrus has been the ideal partner to bring this philosophy to life through technology.”

Why Walrus?

Super-B uses Sui for the game's digital asset ownership and Walrus for its onchain asset storage, which means that Super-B can now use Sui to program the game data stored on Walrus. This powerful combination unlocks dynamic, automated workflows that bridge the gap between in-game activity and onchain value.

For example, when a user's creation reaches a certain number of likes, a Sui smart contract could be triggered to automatically mint it as an NFT, allowing community engagement to be transformed directly into verifiable, tradable assets for the creator. The platform plans to introduce DAO-driven content verification, sophisticated user reward systems, and version history tracking—all powered by Walrus and Sui.

Walrus’ robust infrastructure is critical for Super-B's long-term vision of a decentralized, creative economy, where users can monetize their creations through secondary market trading and even reuse content across different games. The commitment to collaboration and deep technical expertise of the Walrus team were also key differentiators, providing Super-B with strategic support to meaningfully transition from Web2 to Web3. Walrus’ native integration with Sui was also a significant asset, enabling Super-B to build unified and future-proof infrastructure.

By building on Walrus, Super-B has aligned its technical infrastructure with its core mission, creating a platform where users are not just players, but genuine owners and active participants in a vibrant, evolving digital world.
