Application submission

As new RFPs are made available, proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Submitting as early as possible is encouraged!

Evaluation and review

A review committee will assess submitted proposals for each RFP—if your team is shortlisted, you may be invited to participate in further interviews and technical evaluations.

Final selection and onboarding

If your team is selected, congratulations! The team will undergo KYC/KYB compliance checks and execute agreements before onboarding.

If your team is not selected, don’t be discouraged! You’ll be notified and added to our mailing list to be considered for future opportunities.

The Walrus Foundation’s request for proposals welcomes applications from any individual, team, organization, or entity passionate about contributing to the Sui ecosystem.
In most cases, the Walrus Foundation accepts one proposal per request. However, there may be circumstances where multiple proposals are accepted.
Evaluation criteria include factors such as technical feasibility, innovation, relevance to the RFP's objectives, potential impact on the Walrus community, and the applicant's track record or experience.

After review, the shortlisted proposals undergo discussion and final voting by an RFP committee to determine the candidate with the highest potential to address the RFP's requirements and contribute positively to the Walrus ecosystem.
Yes, if you are an individual and you believe the scope of work requires a team, we encourage you to partner with others.
Application review will start ~2 weeks after each RFP is opened. RFPs will remain open until a suitable team and solution are selected.
Due to the nature of the program, we are receiving a high number of submissions. While we aim to respond to every team, whether selected or not, our immediate focus will be on reaching out to the teams chosen to move forward.
Yes, the final agreement includes funding and a budget for the winning applicant. Payment timing is dependent on agreed upon milestones that reflect meaningful progress.
After a team is selected, we will open a direct line of communication between the selected team and the Walrus Foundation. We encourage selected teams to communicate with us to discuss what other forms of support would be most beneficial, as these may differ from team to team.
